Journal entry 3.2


After visiting the roll a ball and reading the feedback, I still quite don't understand why a dialogue-based game would be a bad idea, although the process of implementing such a system is still a mystery to me. Perhaps it could be done using a disguised menu, but perhaps it would be better to make a backup plan. A 2D game is still my go-to and its specifics will largely be affected by what assets I'm able to find. Making my own isn't unimaginable, considering I have experience with a number of graphical applications (not extensive enough, however). The game should still feature some combat, platforming and perhaps even a simple bossfight, all of which could be achieved using the 2D gamekit components. This plan B, however, requires a bit of inspiration I lack at the moment. I've no choice but to think of something before I need it.
